Hand-Carved Bowls

These bowls are handmade in Los Angeles from our urban forest. Each bowl has to be hewn from a green piece of wood freshly cut from a tree and immediately carved. This resource would normally be burned or otherwise disposed of but makes a beautiful and unique product from extremely local materials. All of them are seasoned and treated for use in the kitchen but are available in two different finishes. "Use" has had the interior smoothed out for ease of cleaning and "Display" has been rough finished with gouge and adze textures in tact.
